Chris is an Investment Principal at bp ventures, where he leads investments in support of bp’s netzero 2050 strategy. Chris directs most of his professional focus towards investments in hydrogen and biofuels.
With a background in engineering and policy, Chris worked on Capitol Hill prior to joining bp’s upstream organization exploring new ways to bring energy to market.
Inspired by the belief that innovation will be vital to solving the climate crisis, and that viable business models exist outside of facilitating targeted advertisements, Chris decided to pursue a career at bp ventures.
Chris holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and an MS in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. He is a director for Cold Bore Technology and Advanced Ionics, and is a board observer for Syzygy Plasmonics.
