Marianne Hagen is part of the executive management team in the multinational Norwegian company Aker Solutions which delivers integrated solutions, products and services to the global energy industry. She has a primary attention on working with customers, partners and stakeholders to reach Aker Solutions' and the customers’ carbon emission and sustainability goals, and to work towards the purpose of Aker Solutions which is to solve global energy challenges for future generations. She has an extensive career related to management, board and political positions. Her multifaceted role in the Aker Solutions entails that she can use her extensive experience in politics, public affairs, communications, social responsibility and environmental issues to the fullest. Previously, she was state secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs in international meetings and in relations with regional and global organizations. In this role she worked within areas of sustainability, anti-corruption, trade, culture, human rights and humanitarian aid. Marianne Hagen’s experience includes management positions at the Royal House of Norway, and the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, which is a trade and employment organization for Norwegian controlled companies within the shipping and offshore industry. She has had several political roles and board positions. She studied law and political science at the University of Oslo, Norway.
