Jamila Piracci is a regulatory change advisor, with over two decades of experience in financial services. She started her career as an attorney for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, followed by over a decade as outside counsel in structured derivatives. She also spent time as a lawyer for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, where she coordinated market participant solutions to issues ranging from operational challenges involved in novations to auction methodologies for credit default swaps. In 2011, she was tapped to create the regulatory program at the National Futures Association that remains responsible for the oversight of swap dealers under the Dodd-Frank Act. After eight years building and leading the program, Jamila relocated with her family from the New York City area to the Houston area and launched her current work with market participants.

Jamila serves on the Boards of the Futures Industry Association, SwapEx, LLC, and DevvStream, Inc. She is also a Senior Advisor for Patomak Global Partners, a member of the Advisory Board of Hidden Road Partners, a Senior Fellow for Life:Powered, and an Associate Member of the CFTC’s Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee. Jamila received her JD and MBA from Cornell and her BA from Harvard.
