Rune graduated in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and currently hold the position as Head of Technology and Decarbonization, ensuring that Noble Corporation stays abreast of technologies applicable to the business - and especially in context of reaching the emission reduction ambitions within the company.

Before going to university, Rune began his career as an electrician for 5 years, installing the very same equipment that now is being optimized to reach an energy efficient drilling operation.

Rune has held a number of engineering and leading positions within Maersk Drilling and Noble with vast experience in new building, advanced maintenance implementation and a sharp eye for applying data and advanced analytics to process optimization.
