John Beath has a BS degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and more than forty years of refining sector-focused experience as a process engineer, environmental manager, and senior consultant. He comes from a lengthy set of environmental compliance experiences which he brings into the sustainability practice area. He has been engaged in sustainability projects since his first work in 2008 on a multi-refinery life cycle assessment. He is a life cycle assessment certified professional and a registered professional engineer in Texas; and has served as an expert witness at trial on refinery operations. He serves as CEO of a growing sustainability and air compliance consulting company he founded eight years ago that is centered on developing various inventories, footprints, comparative analyses and life cycle assessments; and on helping clients in various sectors turn that information into viable reductions.
