Effective measurement and estimation of carbon emissions in the Oil and Gas Industry require a robust approach to data collection, accurate measurement, ongoing monitoring, and the quantification of emissions. These processes are crucial for regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and strategies to minimize carbon footprint.

This workshop will explore critical regulations and mandates related to the tracking and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. It will highlight the significance of these efforts in advancing toward a carbon-neutral future and explore ways to harness technology for successful implementation.

What Will You Learn?

  • Gaining insight into the regulatory forces that are driving activity
  • Analyzing the context of carbon accounting, including (GHG protocol scopes 1/2/3)
  • Investigating challenges in the exchange of carbon data across the supply chains
  • Understanding the Open Footprint data model and its implications
