Brent Williams is the Director of Sustainability at Callon Petroleum, where he leads the identification and commercial evaluation of investment opportunities and partnerships to advance emission reduction and low-carbon initiatives.  In this role, Mr. Williams manages Callon's venture capital investments in the emerging technology and energy transition space and leads the long-term forecasting and integration of emission-related metrics into company-wide strategic planning processes.  Prior to his current role, Brent was the Director of Corporate Development and the Director of Strategic Planning as Callon grew a small Permian footprint into a premier-operated asset.



Before joining Callon, Mr. Williams served as a Vice President in Wells Fargo’s Energy Investment Banking practice, the Director of Engineering with Quintana Minerals Corporation and various engineering, planning and finance roles of increasing responsibility at BHP Billiton, Scotia Howard Weil, and ExxonMobil.  During his 20+ years in the energy industry, Mr. Williams has completed over $10 billion of merger, acquisition and divestiture projects transforming multiple organizations both domestic and international.



Mr. Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and completed the Advanced Management Program at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business.  Brent is a member of the IPAA and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and supports several philanthropic organizations throughout the Houston area.
